Holocaust and WW II
74th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz
27 January 2019 is the 74th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. There are plans for ceremonies at the Auschwitz Museum to mark the occasion, to be attended by leading figures from the world of politics and culture, representatives of Holocaust victim commemoration associations and organizations, and above all by the last living survivors of that time: former Auschwitz prisoners. The anniversary will also be a time to rethink the significance of the Holocaust for the creation of a new European identity and for building a Europe free of national chauvinisms, racism and intolerance.
We are seeing the first enquiries regarding the possibility of participation in these events and of organizing study trips to the Auschwitz Museum in 2018.
If you are planning to visit the Auschwitz Museum in 2019, and especially at the turn of January and February, please contact us as soon as possible, in view of the greater than normal demand for a study trip to the Auschwitz Museum in 2019.
