Bratislava - Danube's Beauty

Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is a relatively unknown city for weekend getaways among other European capitals. Its geographical location on a crossroads of German, Hungarian and Austrian influences will guide you through the history of the early 1st century. The city will surprise you with a wealth of architectural treasures around the old town, two castles and a unique atmosphere without a doubt.

1st day Bratislava
Arrival at Vienna International Airport, meeting with your tour-leader and transfer to the hotel in Bratislava. Check-in and welcome dinner at the hotel, overnight in Bratislava.

2nd day Bratislava and the Danube
morning After breakfast, explore the charming historic Old Town of Bratislava during a guided walking tour. The route includes the Gothic St. Martin’ Cathedral and the Primate’s Palace, the neo-Classical residence of the Archbishop of Esztergom, the Main Square with its craft market and cafes, the Michalska Street and Gate offering the opportunity to climb up and enjoy the view of the Old Town.
Afternoon at leisure, a chance to get to know the city more personally or to try rafting in the artificial channel at Èuòovo.
evening Danube cruise, including dinner and live musical entertainment.
Overnight in Bratislava.

3rd day Carpathian Wine Trail
morning Leave the hotel for an excursion along the Small Carpathian Wine Trail, including a visit to the famous Modra (Blue) pottery factory and the Renaissance Cerveny Kamen Castle, one of the most fortified castles in the Carpathians.
afternoon Return to Bratislava and rest of the day at leisure, an opportunity to walk up the beautiful castle hill to admire the view of the town and the Danube.
Gala dinner at one of local restaurants in the Old Town.
Overnight in Bratislava.

4th day Bratislava - Vienna
In the morning, transfer to Vienna International Airport for a homebound flight.

Option available in summer months - stay one day longer and take a round trip day Danube river cruise to Vienna.
