Itinerary:

1st day Berlin
Arrival in Berlin - the heart of reunited Germany. Transfer from the airport, hotel check-in, dinner and overnight stay in Berlin.

2nd day Berlin
morning Guided full day sightseeing tour of Berlin. Although many historic buildings were destroyed in World War II, they have been reconstructed. See the Zeughaus, the National Opera, the Humboldt University, the Brandenburg Gate and famous Checkpoint Charlie, the Deutscher Dom, the Französischer Dom, Unter den Linden Boulevard, the Reichstag and the Schauspielhaus. Friedrichstraße avenue with its mixture of modern and historic facades. Visit Oranienburger Straße with the New Synagogue with its golden dome. Potsdamer Platz with its futuristic architecture in interesting contrast to the historic buildings in the city center of Mitte.
afternoon Stroll along the Kurfürstendamm boulevard in the western part of the city. See the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche (Memorial Church). It was destroyed during WWII and only partly reconstructed afterward. Next to the church, there is a typical example of modern commercial buildings of the sixties - the first shopping mall in Berlin (Europa-Center).
evening Dinner and overnight in Berlin.

3rd day Berlin - Dresden
morning Drive to Dresden, known for its excellent architecture and artistic treasures. Although the Royal Palace was destroyed during World War II, extensive reconstruction has brought the splendor of its historic Baroque interior back. 
afternoon Guided tour of the New Green Vault - museum set in the strong rooms in the basement of the castle, the name refers to the original green decoration of the main hall - containing 4,000 works of art - including many rare pieces from the Renaissance, Baroque and Classicist periods.
evening Dinner and an overnight stay in Dresden.

4th day Dresden
morning Continue city sightseeing of Dresden - visit Frauenkirche. One of the major churches of the German Protestant tradition, it was ruined by bombings during WWII; reconstruction efforts were completed in 2005. At the old royal stables, see the Procession of the Princes before continuing on to the neo-Renaissance Semper Opera House and the Baroque Zwinger, home to five museums.
afternoon At leisure to explore this lovely city on the Elbe River more personally - perhaps with a steamer boat cruise.
evening Dinner and an overnight stay in Dresden.

5th day Prague
morning Drive to Prague after breakfast and hotel check-out.
Midday arrival in Prague and guided sightseeing of Prague, including Hradcany Castle, Saint Vitus Cathedral, famous Golden Street and the colorful district of Small Strana including the church of St. Nicholas and Charles Bridge, old town market place, Josefov Jewish district, Celetna street, and Vaclav Place the center of today’s Prague.
afternoon Hotel check-in, dinner at an old town restaurant with the best Czech beer.
Overnight stay in Prague.

6th day Prague
morning Further sightseeing - visit the Karlstein castle on the outskirts of Prague, one of the most colorful medieval castles in Europe.
afternoon Leisure in Prague center.
evening Cruise on the Vltava, dinner on board of a ship, accompanied by traditional Czech music.

7th day Imperial Vienna
morning Departure from Prague, destination Vienna.
afternoon Arrival in Vienna, hotel check-in, a short orientation tour of the city center.
evening Dinner and first night in Vienna.

8th day Vienna
morning Sightseeing of Vienna including Hofburg imperial palace, Opera, baroque Joseph square, the symbol of Vienna, St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
afternoon at leisure in Vienna - opportunity to visit the Schoenbrunn Palace and Park.
evening Night out on the Prater amusement park the famous entertainment district, with an optional concert of Strauss or Mozart at the Kursalon, second night in Vienna.

9th day Bratislava
morning Drive to Bratislava the capital of the Slovak Republic, with Castle Hill offering a superb view of the Danube river. Walk through the charming Old Town including Main Square with crafts market and neo-Classical Primate’s Palace, Michalska Street and Gate.
afternoon Hotel check-in and rest of the afternoon at leisure offering an opportunity to stroll through the streets of the old town at your own pace.
evening Dinner at one of the local restaurants, night in Bratislava.

10th day Budapest
morning Departure from Bratislava, arrival in Budapest and hotel check-in.
afternoon Sightseeing of Budapest, view of the city from Gellert’s Hill and Castle Hill, including St. Martin’s church, Fishermens’ Bastion, old town buildings, Parliament and Hero’s square.
evening Dinner in a traditional Budapest restaurant an evening with music and Hungarian wine.
Night in Budapest.

11th day Budapest
morning Continued sightseeing with a visit to the famous Budapest thermal pools.
afternoon Leisure in Budapest center.
evening Travel to Szentendre - a colorful Hungarian-Serb town of artists and museums on the Danube river.
evening stroll through the town, farewell dinner and return to Budapest.
Second night in Budapest.

12th day Departure
After breakfast hotel check-out and transfer to the airport for your homebound flight.
