Beauty of Polish mountains - trekking tour
An eleven-day long excursion through the charming, atmospheric region of Pieniny Mountain Range and Sądecki Beskid. Hike, sightsee, explore and enjoy the active recreation. On our route: Krakow - Debno - Niedzica - Szczawnica - Czorsztyn - Sromowce - Kroscienko - Trzy Korony - Gora Zamkowa - Palenica - Durbaszka - Wysoka - Radziejowa Range - Piwniczna - Kosarzyska - Obidza - Eliaszowka - Rytro - Krynica

Itinerary:
1st day Krakow
Arrival at Krakow Airport. Meeting with the tour-leader and transfer to your accommodation. Introduction to the tour plan.
Dinner and overnight in Krakow.
2nd day Debno - Niedzica - Szczawnica
morning & afternoon Drive to Debno to visit the old Saint Michael’s Archangel Church. Transfer to the hiking beginning point - Dursztyn followed by approx. 3.5-4 hour hike to Niedzica where we visit Dunajec Castle with museum presenting the history of the castle and the surrounding area. After a late lunch in the local restaurant cross the Czorsztyn Lake on a cruise ship. On the opposite side of the lake, we visit the ruins of medieval Czorsztyn Castle.
evening Transfer to Szczawnica for dinner and overnight.
3rd day Szczawnica - Czorsztyn - Sromowce - Szczawnica
morning & afternoon Transfer to the starting point of our hike in Czorsztyn. From Czorsztyn we hike through the Pieniny National Park for approx. 3 hours to Sromowce. After lunch, we'll go on a raft trip down the Dunajec River through the Pieniny Gorge. Rafting in special wooden boats led by experienced raftsmen to Szczawnica.
evening Dinner and overnight in Szczawnica.
4th day Szczawnica - Kroscienko - Trzy Korony - Gora Zamkowa - Kroscienko
morning After an early breakfast transfer to Kroscienko. Hiking trip to one of the most important Pieniny Ranges: Kroscienko-Trzy Korony-Gora Zamkowa-Kroscienko. Return to Szczawnica.
afternoon Tour of the town of Szczawnica - mineral water resort, an opportunity to taste local mineral waters and visit Pieniny Museum.
evening Dinner and overnight in Szczawnica.
5th day Palenica - Durbaszka - Wysoka - Szczawnica
morning & afternoon Take a short chairlift ride to Palenica and from there hike to Homole Ravine via Durbaszka and Wysoka. Continue to Jaworki village and then return to Szczawnica riding highlanders’ carriages.
evening Dinner and overnight in Szczawnica.
6th day Szczawnica - Krakow - Szczawnica
morning Drive to Krakow. Upon arrival guided walk along the Royal Route, see remains of Krakow fortifications, the Main Market Square - the Cloth Hall, the tower of Town Hall, St. Mary’s church with a world-famous gothic altar by Veit Stoss, Wawel Hill - the former Castle of Polish kings.
afternoon At leisure.
evening Dinner at one of the excellent Krakow restaurants. Return for an overnight in Szczawnica in the evening.
7th day Szczawnica - Radziejowa Range - Piwniczna
morning & afternoon After an early breakfast, pack your backpacks and leave Pieniny Region to hike to Beskid Sadecki - Radziejowa Range. The route today includes Jaworki, Ruski Wierch, Obidza, Wielki Rogacz, and Niemcowa. At Niemcowa Lodge we'll have a break for refreshments and then on to Piwniczna (mineral water resort).
evening Dinner and overnight in Piwniczna.
8th day Kosarzyska - Obidza - Eliaszowka - Piwniczna
morning Hiking along beautiful Polish-Slovak border trail: Kosarzyska-Obidza-Eliaszowka-Piwniczna, approx. 6,5 hours.
afternoon Visit to Piwniczna and local mineral water facility.
evening Dinner and overnight in Piwniczna.
9th day Piwniczna - Rytro - Piwniczna
morning Drive to Rytro to visit ruins of an old castle and then hike a circle back to Piwninczna via scenic trail. Hiking time approx. 6,5 hours.
afternoon At leisure.
evening Dinner and overnight in Piwniczna.
10th day Piwniczna - Krynica - Piwniczna
morning After breakfast transfer to Krynica - the biggest spa city and a mineral water resort in the Polish mountains. Tour of the town. After lunch, we take a gondola ride to Jaworzyna Krynicka and walk down to the city where we taste mineral waters.
afternoon & evening Return to Piwniczna, time to get ready for your trip home, dinner and overnight.
11th day Krakow
After breakfast check-out and transfer to Krakow Airport for your homebound flight.
