Itinerary:
1st day Budapest
morning & afternoon After arrival in Budapest, you will be met by your tour-leader - get acquainted with the city on a guided tour, with a stop at the Parliament Palace, Gellert Hill, Castle Hill, Fishermens’ Bastion and Chain Bridge.
evening Dinner and overnight in Budapest.
2nd day Lake Balaton
morning Begin your journey to the shores of Lake Balaton - sometimes called the Hungarian Sea. Stop en route in Herend to visit its Porcelain Factory.
afternoon Arrival in Siofok, time at leisure at the Balaton coast.
evening Dinner and overnight in Siofok.
3rd day Pecs
morning & afternoon Drive further south to take a ferry at the southern coastline of Szantod to reach Pecs. Pecs was UNESCO World Heritage-listed in the year 2000 was the European Capital of Culture in 2010. In the 4th century, a series of decorated tombs was constructed in the cemetery of the Roman provincial town of Sopianae (nowadays Pécs). They were built as underground burial chambers with memorial chapels above the ground, important also in artistic terms since they are richly decorated with murals of outstanding quality depicting Christian themes.

4th day Szentendre
morning Departure from Pecs to explore the Danube River Bend, the finest landscape in Hungary where the river passes between the hills and goes south. Formerly the royal property, the land was the scene of important historical events in medieval Hungary.
afternoon Arrival in artists’ town Szentendre just outside Budapest, a walk through the narrow streets of picturesque Szentendre passing by the Baroque houses and a visit to the unique Marzipan Museum.
evening Dinner and overnight in Budapest.
5th day Tokaj wine region
morning & afternoon Journey to the Tokaj wine region. Tokaj, 80% of which lies in Hungary and 20% in Slovakia, has a long tradition of making wine, mainly white, thanks to the fact that it has been blessed with the right climate. Wineries, vineyards and small traditional towns are spread through the region. Here you will visit the wine cellars and taste the famous wine.
evening return to Budapest. Dinner and overnight in Budapest.
6th day Eger
morning & afternoon Travel to explore Hungary’s other wine region and town Eger, famous for red wines. It is a Baroque town, nestling in a between the splendid mountain ranges of Bukk and Matra. Eger owes its fame to its wine, Egri bikavér, also known as “bull’s blood”. According to legend, the heroes of the battle against the Turks drank it to gain strength.
evening Return to Budapest. Farewell dinner cruise on the Danube and overnight in Budapest.
7th day Budapest
After breakfast check-out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your homebound flight.
