Cracow/Krakow - the old capital of Poland, its intellectual and cultural center, is generally considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It is also called the "city of kings and saints". It is home to the oldest Polish university. A treasure chest of works of art and architectural monuments. The cultural heritage of Krakow includes Kazimierz, the best-preserved former Jewish quarter in Europe.

Day 1 Warsaw
Arrival in Warsaw by plane or by train.

Day 2 Old Town and New City
morning City tour: Tragic history and reconstruction of the Old Town (UNESCO list), Socialist Heritage: Josef Stalin Palace of Culture, from its viewing platform a bird's eye view of the city and the new city.
afternoon The war. Ghetto uprising and Warsaw Uprising. Tour of the territory of the Ghetto, Ghetto Heroes Monument and Transfer Point. Visit to the impressive museum of the Warsaw Uprising.
evening Dinner in an old town restaurant.
Day 3 Royal Palace, Chopin concert
morning Visit of the splendid Royal Castle, which was rebuilt after the destruction during the Second World War, followed by a background discussion on history and politics.
afternoon Free time. Strolling e.g. in the historical park Lazienki or museum visits e.g. in the Chopin Museum.
evening Dinner and exclusive Chopin concert in a historic hall in the old town.
Day 4 Warsaw - Czestochowa - Krakow
morning Bus ride to Krakow. On the way stop in Czestochowa. Visit to the Pauline Fathers' Monastery - the most important place of pilgrimage for the Polish people with the icon of the grace of the Black Madonna.
afternoon Arrival in Krakow. Check-in. First city tour.
evening Dinner in an Old Town restaurant.
Day 5 Krakow Old Town and Kazimierz Jewish Quarter
morning We will get acquainted with the history of the royal city of Krakow. Guided walk in the Old Town with the magnificent Market Square, the old Jagiellonian University and St. Mary's Church with the beautiful Veit Stoss Altar.
afternoon Visit to Kazimierz - the former Jewish quarter of Krakow with numerous preserved synagogues and the medieval Jewish cemetery.
evening Dinner and Klezmer concert in a Jewish restaurant.
Day 6 Auschwitz
morning & afternoon A day to discover the city on your own. Our tour guides will give you some interesting tips for strolling around the city, visiting museums or shopping. For those who are interested in history, we can organize a tour of the city. Later ride to Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp.
evening Dinner and concert in the philharmonic or opera house.
Day 7 Wawel and Wieliczka
morning Guided tour of the Wawel Royal Castle with its valuable collection of tapestries and with the famous Lady with an Ermine by Leonardo da Vinci, and tour of the Cracow Cathedral - coronation church and burial place of Polish kings.
afternoon Drive to Wieliczka - a suburb of Krakow. Sightseeing of a unique landmark of European industrial culture - the medieval salt mine.
evening Final dinner in a selected Krakow restaurant with Polish specialties.
Day 8
Check out and drive home.
